The Moose of Fiordland – Face Value

2020
Face Mask
Paperclay, felt, 3D printed resin and acrylic paint

I’ve noticed a profound change during the lock-down here in NZ. Everything is quiet and still… no cars, no planes… just many many birds. Out of the window I spied the Moose of Fiordland. He’s a long way North, but this would explain the explosion of birds. As Kaitaki of the forest and all native creatures, he is encouraging them to be brave and to reclaim their original homes. #FaceValue

This piece was designed in response to the call for designs from Pictoplasma. In response to the Covid-19 situation designers were invited to create a mask that represented their situation.
